Launch Day: Sunderland
Bringing to life Millar’s paintings of the working man hard at graft and the iconic characters known as “Gadgies”, this quirky dance production re-imagines Millar’s paintings and celebrates the industrial glory, culture, camaraderie and vibrancy of shipbuilding towns.
In collaboration with visual artist Alexander Millar, Kelly-Abbott Dance Theatre explores the industrial history of the North East shipyard communities in this stunning show. Original soundtrack by Breifne Holohan, featuring music by Mark Knopfler.
