San Francisco Dreaming is a collaboration between composer/musician, Breifne Holohan and poet, Roger Hudson. It features live poetry performed against a backdrop of evocative soundscapes improvised on electric guitar. In an interaction between poet and musician, words flow and music weaves to create one united whole. ‘San Francisco Dreaming’ explores concepts of time and space, evoking expressions and sounds of fireworks, thunder and lightning, the sounds of nature and machine, the impact of jetlag, dream, nightmare, fantasy and fiction. Electric guitar, electronic effects and human voice interweave, supplemented by the ethereal acoustic of Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda, Co. Louth, to create a multi-layered magic both sensual and fantastical.
